Today I am featuring a new outfit from Aeropostale. A few weeks ago I was approached by the company to be a VIP Blogger for the upcoming season. After nearly fainting from excitement, I was thrilled for the opportunity.
I was sent on a mission. Aeropostale wanted me to create a personal outfit, courtesy of the company, for back to school. It was refreshing to know that Aeropostale is interested in customer’s personal taste and style.
This past Monday, I attended an exclusive #Aerorocks Premiere Party at Aeropostale launching new clothing and accessories. It was such a fun event. The atmosphere of the party was a great representation of what Aeropostale is all about- which is, in my opinion, having a fun, trendy, and spirited shopping experience.
As I perused the new items, I fell in love with the white lace tank featured in the pictures. It gave off a romantic, feminine vibe. I knew I could wear it with a number of outfits, so I had to have it.
With my lace top in hand, I continued my outfit search. Next I found a pair of black, lace up, shiny boots. I have seen this trend in a lot of magazines, sparking my interest in this new boot style currently sold at Aeropostale. Loving the boots as much as the lace top, I grabbed my size and continued on.
At this point I had a feminine, lace top and edgy, rough boots. These two styles were very different from each other. But in the end, that is what I loved most about my outfit- it is a combination of different looks that work well together.
This season, leggings are very in style. I love this trend- mainly because leggings are so comfortable. I found a table of fun, printed leggings as a part of Aeropostale’s Back to School collection. My eyes were drawn to a pair of grey and black, fleur-de-lis patterned leggings.
The leggings looked adorable with my already chosen pieces. With each item added to my outfit, the Dark & Romantic theme grew stronger.
Last but certainly not least, I found a military-esque jacket. The soft knit fabric and chic silhouette and buttons screamed “Buy me! Buy me!” I knew this jacket would fit perfectly into my wardrobe. It was a unique piece that was perfect for back to school.
I love all four of these pieces. Together they are the perfect mix of sweet and edgy. Fashion is all about mix and matching pieces in creative ways, which Aeropostale took into account when creating this collection.
Truthfully, my shopping trip took less than a half hour. Why? Because Aeropostale’s new pieces were so versatile and unique, making it easy to build an outfit. Often while shopping ,I feel like I am looking at the same things just in different stores, not in this case.
The back to school collection is so fresh and exciting. The prices were ideal for a college student on a budget and the trends and styles were exactly what I was looking for.
